These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and stays at Mannapaapu Mane, located in Mala, Karkala Taluk, Udupi District, Karnataka. By confirming a booking, you agree to abide by the following terms:

1.Stay & Meals

1.1. Room tariff includes complimentary breakfast.
1.2. All other meals are charged as per the prevailing food tariff.
1.3. Only authentic Udupi vegetarian cuisine is provided, prepared using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
1.4. Vegan meals are available upon prior request.
1.5. Guests are expected to adhere to designated meal timings.

2. House Rules

2.1. Consumption of alcohol or smoking is strictly prohibited within the premises.
2.2. Loud music, shouting, or disruptive behavior is not permitted in order to respect wildlife and fellow guests.
2.3. Artefacts, antiques, and books available in the house must be handled with care and returned after use.
2.4. Guests are requested to bring their own toiletries; the homestay does not provide them in order to minimize plastic waste.
2.5. Guests must conserve electricity by switching off lights, fans, and heaters when not in use.
2.6. Quiet hours are to be observed from 11:30 PM onwards.

3. Nature & Safety

3.1. The homestay is located amidst forest and biodiversity. Encounters with harmless creatures such as frogs, lizards, and insects are natural and expected. Guests must not harm them.
3.2. During the monsoon season, streams and rocks may be slippery. Guests must consult the host before entering water bodies. The management is not liable for accidents resulting from negligence.
3.3. Leeches are common during rains; precautionary measures will be advised by the hosts.
3.4. Guests are advised to carry umbrellas, raincoats, and suitable footwear, especially during the rainy season.

4. Bookings & Payments

4.1. Full payment of the stay amount is required to confirm a booking.
4.2. Food charges are payable at the time of checkout.
4.3. To confirm a booking, guests must provide:

Proof of payment
Full name
Valid email ID
Government-issued photo ID
4.4. Payments can be made through UPI, Google Pay, PhonePe, or via bank transfer (on request).

5. Cancellations

5.1. Cancellation fees apply as follows:

14 days or more before check-in: 5% of booking amount.
4–14 days before check-in: 25% of booking amount.
1–4 days before check-in: 50% of booking amount.
Within 24 hours of check-in: 100% of booking amount.
5.2. Refunds will be processed within 3–5 business days.

6. Rescheduling

6.1. Rescheduling 10 days or more before check-in is free of charge.
6.2. Rescheduling within 10 days of check-in incurs an additional 10% over the stay cost.

7. Liability

7.1. Mannapaapu Mane is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to guests’ personal belongings.
7.2. Guests entering streams, waterfalls, or forest trails do so at their own risk.
7.3. The management will not be held liable for accidents or injuries resulting from negligence or failure to follow safety guidance.

8. Responsible Tourism Commitment

By staying at Mannapaapu Mane, guests agree to:

Avoid bringing single-use plastics; carry back all non-biodegradable waste.
Refrain from geo-tagging sensitive locations such as streams and waterfalls.
Respect co-guests’ privacy and maintain the sanctity of shared spaces.

9. Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from bookings or stays at Mannapaapu Mane shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Udupi District, Karnataka, India.
